I first became interested in photography after joining the Photography club in Middle School. Saved my money and bought my first SLR the Canon A-1 the next year. Moving onto High School I took my first photography class and learned how to develop and print B&W film. I continued in photography all through school and eventually had my own darkroom at my parents house. I continued with photography for a while but as often happens life got in the way and my photography was the casualty.
Around 2012 or 2013, I don’t remember exactly when, I bought my first DSLR a used Canon T3 with the kit lens. My interest came right back and I was soon carrying my camera everywhere I went photographing, Bands, Kids, Sunsets and other Landscapes. Then in 2015 I was asked to travel to India for my job, I would spend a month there. I decided that if there was a better reason to upgrade my gear I didn’t know what it was. So I bought a Canon 6D and a Professional grade Tamron 24 to 70. I took thousands of photos of everything and anything on that trip.
In 2017 a fellow photographer mentioned taking a trip to Iceland; much to my surprise he invited me to join him when I expressed interest. That’s the trip where my love of landscape photography really took hold!
